(37). Rebuilding married quarters at Central Police Station. Desirable but by no means essential. Could be

postponed indefinitely.

(38) & (39). Harbour Office Extension. The smaller work

is necessary now. The larger scheme should certainly be

carried out as funds permit.

(40) to (44). Small works such as are included in every

annual estimate.

(45). Victoria British School. The School will require

to be moved in connection with the building of the new

Queen's College.

(46). Vernacular Upper School. I am not sure that this will be required. It depends on the interest of the

Chinese in higher vernacular education a somewhat doubtful

question at present.

(47). Markata. The Praya East site will not be vacant

by 1930.

Wongneichung. Doubtful whether a site can be provided by 1930.

(48). Sanitary Inspector's quarters, Aberdeen. To be

included under (1) when necessary. Probably not required

during the five year period and if it is quarters can be

leased.

(49). Roads. I think all these are necessary except (o)

and (dd) which can easily wait indefinitely. Some of the

others might be proceeded with more slowly.

(50). Praya East Drainage. A necessary result of the

Praya East Reclamation Works. It is not at the moment

clear whether part of it at least cannot be charged to the

Praya Reclamation Fund.

(51). A trifling matter.

(52) to (56). General works practically on the same

footing as Public Works Recurrent.

(57). Rebuilding a walk destroyed in 1923 typhoon.

Desirable
